The Washington County Career Center honors its February students of the month, Faith and Michael.
Faith is a Fort Frye senior enrolled in the Digital Marketing program, and she is the daughter of Adam and Tiffany of Beverly.
At the Career Center, Faith is a member of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) youth organization and the National Technical Honor Society. She serves as the BPA co-president and class historian for her technical program. Last school year, she placed first in spreadsheet fundamentals for BPA, which qualified for state competition. This year, she placed second and will be competing at state once again. She is consistently on both the principal list and honor roll. She has received industry credentials for RISE Up: Customer Service and Sales as well as Retail Industry Fundamentals. In the Digital Marketing program, she is receiving a technical focus and learning skills for business administration marketing, business foundations, digital marketing & management, and marketing principles.

Digital Marketing instructor, Lynette, nominated Faith for this honor and commented, “Faith is an exceptional student. She is reliable and trustworthy. She demonstrates excellent skills in her photography and content generation for our social media platforms.”
Faith is currently employed at Jeremiah’s Coffee House in Marietta as an intern working on their website and social media. Upon graduation, she plans to attend West Virginia University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
Michael is a Warren senior enrolled in the Electricity program, and he is the son of Joel and Virginia of Vincent.

At the Career Center, Michael is a member of the SkillsUSA youth organization. He is consistently on the Career Center’s principal list and honor roll. He is also a member of Educational Talent Search. This school year, he will be competing at SkillsUSA regional competition for industrial electricity.
Michael is taking course offerings and learning skills for commercial & industrial construction electrical systems, construction electrical systems, construction safety & crew leadership, and residential electrical systems. In his technical program, he has or will earn industry-recognized credentials for occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) 10-hour training and Electrical Training IBEW-NECA ALLIANCE Interim. Mathematics instructor, Betsy, nominated Michael for this honor and commented, “Michael has great character qualities. He is very smart, kind, hardworking, and respectful.”
