Twenty-six students from the Washington County Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) youth organization competed and placed in the top four of the BPA Regional Competition. These students won the honor of advancing to the State competitive events, in Columbus, which will be held March 9-10. From this event, those students who place in the top of their category will move on to the National level, which will be held in May in Anaheim, CA.
Those students who will be competing at the State level are:
· Advanced Desktop Publishing: Taylor is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Ben Bowers of Burlington, NC, and Mindy Bowers of Vincent. Trevor Fields is a senior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Myranda Wilson of Beverly.
· Advanced Word Processing: Lyndsay is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Matthew and Stacie of Marietta.
· Computer Animation Team: Jocelyn is a junior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the granddaughter of Tony and Patricia of Marietta. Hannah is a junior from Fort Frye in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Richard and Megan of Beverly.
· Computer Modeling: Elias is a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Roland of Lowell and Christina of Williamstown, WV.
· Computer Security: Mark is a junior from Belpre in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Rebecca of Belpre. Adam is a junior from Belpre in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Delores of Belpre.
· Database Applications: Jenna is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Louis and Toni of Marietta and the granddaughter of Claudia of Barlow. Hadassah is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Michael and Amy of Marietta.
· Digital Media Production: Samuel is a senior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Michael and Kelly of Lower Salem.
· Extemporaneous Speech: Michael is a senior from Warren in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Michael and Rebecca of Vincent.
· Fundamental Desktop Publishing: Dylan is a junior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Craig and Melissa of Lowell.
· Fundamental Spreadsheet Application: Grace is a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of David and Mari of Belpre and the granddaughter of Frances of Belpre.
· Fundamentals of Web Design: Jonathan is a senior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Ernest and Karen of Marietta.
· Graphic Design Promotion: Lyanna is a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Brad and LeeAndra of Marietta.
· Intermediate Word Processing: Elliot is a junior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Alisha of Belpre. Haylee is a junior from Warren in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Miranda of Cutler.
· Interview Skills: Kelly is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Gary of Parkersburg and Heather of Marietta and the granddaughter of Erwin and Debra of Marietta.

· Visual Design Team: Evan is a junior from Frontier in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Terry and Renee of Newport.
