Twenty-one students from the Washington County Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) youth organization competed and placed in the top four of the BPA Regional Competition. These students won the honor of advancing to the State competitive events, in Columbus, which will be held March 12-13. From this event, those students who place in the top of their category will move on to the National level, which will be held May 6-10 in Washington, DC.
Those students who will be competing at the State level are:
· Advanced Interview Skills (1st Place): Lindsay is a senior from Fort Frye in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Andy and Liza of Beverly
· Broadcast News Production Team (1st Place): Casondra is a junior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Edward and Julie of Lowell; Delaney is a junior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Joe of Whipple and Marcie of Parkersburg; Logan is a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Jay and Erin of Marietta; and Michael, is a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Michael. and Amy of Marietta
· Computer Animation Team (1st Place): Emily is a senior from Frontier in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Randy and Katie of Newport; Pamela is a senior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Aaron and Margie of Marietta; and Madison is a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Troy and Tracy of Marietta
· Computer Network Technology (1st Place): Thomas is a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program, and he is the son of Crystal of Marietta and the brother of Braiden of Marietta
· Digital Publishing (1st Place): Jericha is a senior from Fort Frye in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of David of Parkersburg and Sherri of McConnelsville
· Entrepreneurship (1st Place): Maggie is a junior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Tim and Johnine of Marietta
· Extemporaneous Speech (1st Place): Shyauna is a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the niece of guardians Shane and Tommie of Marietta
· Fundamental Desktop Publishing (1st Place): Maddison is a senior from Belpre in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Dave and Marla of Belpre
· Fundamentals of Web Design (1st Place): Myka is a senior from Warren in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Mike and Peggy of Stockport
· Global Marketing Team (1st Place): Jeremy is a junior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and he is the son of Gary of Marietta and Susie of Marietta; and Kailee is a junior from Marietta in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of Mike and Tracy of Marietta
· Graphic Design Promotion (1st Place): Elisa is a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and she is the daughter of Kenneth and Pamela of Marietta
· PC Servicing & Troubleshooting (1st Place): Cameron is a junior from Warren in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Mitchell and Tracy of Marietta
· Digital Media Production (2nd Place): Jackson is a senior from Marietta in the Graphic Design & Video Production program and he is the son of Joe and Kathryn of Marietta
· Digital Publishing (2nd Place): Katana is a junior from Frontier in the Digital Marketing program and she is the daughter of William of New Matamoras
