Adult Tech Offers No-Cost, Online Oil & Gas Jumpstart Program Training

Interested in learning more about careers in the oil and gas industry? Washington County Career Center – Adult Technical Training, in partnership with Flashpass, is now offering the Oil & Gas Jumpstart Program, a no-cost, 100% online training opportunity designed to give participants an inside look at the industry and the careers available within it.

Oil and gas continues to play an important role in our region, creating career opportunities that require a wide range of skills. The Oil & Gas Jumpstart Program is a great first step for anyone who wants to better understand the industry, how the production process works and the types of jobs that help keep it moving.

The online training introduces participants to oil and gas operations and career opportunities throughout the production process. Local oil and gas employers helped support the development of the program by providing access to industry locations and operations, helping make the training relevant to the work being done right here in our region.

The Jumpstart Program can also help participants discover where additional hands-on training could take them. Washington County Career Center – Adult Technical Training offers several programs that provide skills used in oil and gas and related industries, including:

Chemical Operator / Technician
Instrumentation & Electricity Technician
Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Welding
CDL

“The Oil & Gas Jumpstart Program gives people an opportunity to explore the industry before deciding what their next step might be,” said Evan Schaad, Director of Adult Technical Training. “They can learn more about the careers available, see how the industry operates and then, how they can build the skills for one of those careers right here at Adult Technical Training.”

The program is open to anyone interested in exploring oil and gas careers. Because the training is online, participants can complete it on a schedule that works for them. There is no tuition cost to participate.
