Adult Tech Awarded Ohio Work Ready Grant

Washington County Career Center – Adult Technical Training is pleased to announce upcoming funding opportunities through the Ohio Department of Higher Education Ohio Work Ready Grant, designed to help eligible Ohio residents access career training and workforce opportunities.

The Ohio Work Ready Grant provides financial assistance of $1,500 to eligible Ohio residents enrolling at Washington County Career Center – Adult Technical Training to help cover the cost of training and certification.

The Ohio Department of Higher Education has prioritized manufacturing-aligned programs through this statewide grant initiative. Approved programs are designed to strengthen Ohio’s manufacturing and industrial workforce pipeline by preparing students for high-demand careers in maintenance, operations, automation, and process technology. Students enrolling in the following eligible programs through Adult Technical Training may qualify for $3,000 in grant assistance, regardless of Pell eligibility:

  • Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (IMM)

  • Instrumentation & Electricity (I&E)

  • Chemical Operator / Chemical Technician

Washington County Career Center – Adult Technical Training offers short-term, hands-on career training programs that prepare students for in-demand jobs in healthcare, transportation, skilled trades, and industrial careers throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.
