Fifteen students from the Washington County Career Center SkillsUSA youth organization will compete at the State competitive events, in Columbus, April 16-17. Those who place at the top of their event here will advance to the 55th annual National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), a showcase of career and technical education students, to be held in Louisville, Kentucky, June 24-28. More than 18,000 people – including students, teachers and business partners – are expected to participate in the weeklong event.

Gabriella is a Marietta junior enrolled in the Building Technology/Carpentry program and she is the daughter of Eric and Diane of Lowell
Diesel Truck Mechanics: Levi is a junior enrolled in the Diesel Truck Mechanics program and he is the son of Rick and Sarah of New Matamoras
Health Knowledge Bowl: Kyrie “Eva” is a Fort Frye senior enrolled in the Sports Medicine & Exercise Science program and she is the daughter of Josh and Kristina of Beverly; Kyra is a Warren senior enrolled in the Medical College Prep program and she is the daughter of Don of Marietta and Jenny of Marietta; Breanna is a Marietta senior enrolled in the Patient Health Care program and she is the daughter of Chris and Julie of Marietta; and Levi is a Belpre junior enrolled in the Medical College Prep program and he is the son of Kevin of Belpre and the late Stacy
Heavy Equipment Operator: Spencer is a Marietta senior enrolled in the Heavy Equipment program and he is the son of Joe and Melinda of Marietta; Jaron is a Marietta senior enrolled in the Heavy Equipment program and he is the son of Doug and Karen of Marietta; and Braden is a Warren senior enrolled in the Heavy Equipment program and he is the son of Dustin and Amy of Marietta
Industrial Motor Control: Amber is a Belpre senior enrolled in the Electricity program and she is the daughter of Robert of Belpre and Kimberly of Belpre
Medical Math: Trenton is a Marietta junior enrolled in the Patient Health Care program and he is the son of Randy and Melissa of Marietta
Team Works: Justyn is a Marietta senior enrolled in the Electricity program and he is the son of Jimmy and Sarah of Marietta; Kourtney is a Warren senior enrolled in the Masonry program and she is the daughter of Kent of Washington, WV and Dustie of Little Hocking; Devon is a Waterford senior enrolled in the Building Technology/Carpentry program and he is the son of Tim and Melissa of Waterford; and Caleb is a Marietta junior enrolled in the Building Technology/Carpentry program and he is the son of Brian and Yolanda of Marietta
