SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST
A Surgical Technologist works as part of a surgical team as an allied health professional. These technologists ensure that the operating procedures are followed and conducted under optimal sterile and non-sterile conditions.

CERTIFY AT THE FOREFRONT OF MEDICINE
The main responsibilities are phases of patient care in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative case management. Surgical Technologists must be able work within the team with little or no supervision and uphold the necessary standards of honesty and moral integrity while displaying a caring attitude with every patient.

Professional Practices
Anatomy & Physiology
The Principles and Practice Course will require considerable laboratory time. Some student visits to the operating room will begin mid-way through the course as an introduction to the operating room (students do not scrub during this rotation).
