Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - B
Students will have the opportunity to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician—Basic.

EMT-B YOUR FUTURE, RIGHT NOW
Students will perform skills within the State of Ohio EMT—Basic scope of practice, under the direct supervision of another Ohio certified EMT-Basic, Advanced or Paramedic in the Ambulance setting.
Students will be responsible for the following items through the EMT— Basic program.
Physical Exam
Copy of vaccinations to include:
2-Step TB, Rubella Titer, Varicella
Titer and Hepatitis B
Copy of Drivers License / State ID
Students are required to wear:
Navy pants or BDU’s
Navy polo shirt
Black belt
Black boots
* This course does not fall within the ACCSC institutional accreditation
PROGRAM INFORMATION
After successful completion of the EMT-Basic program, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Registry Cognitive and Practical Skills exam.
Graduates must obtain this certification to be employed as an
Emergency Medical Technician.
