Student of the Month
Ashle Lee: October 2004
Lee, a Warren senior in the Cosmetology Technology program, is the daughter of James and Lisa Lee of Marietta. Ashle is a member of the Vocational and Industrial Club of America (Skills USA-VICA), where she participated in Local Competition and placed first in Cosmetology her junior year. She also was a representative for the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) conference in Columbus last year. Lee is a Career Center Student Ambassador and has been active in soccer, 4-H, and softball throughout her high school education. She has received awards for All A’s and B’s Honor Roll, Outstanding English Student, and Outstanding Student for the Nine Weeks. Currently, she is working for the All American Car Wash as a laborer. Following graduation, Lee plans to attend Ohio State University to obtain her barber’s license.
Jacob Roach: October 2004
Roach, a Warren senior in the Industrial Electricity program of the Engineering Technologies Academy, is the son of Mark and Diane Roach of Little Hocking. Jacob has received awards for All A’s Honor Roll, Outstanding Electronics Student of the Quarter, and Perfect Attendance. While attending the Career Center, he has been a member of the Vocational and Industrial Clubs of America (Skills USA-VICA) and the National Technical Honor Society. Roach has competed in VICA contests, where he has placed second for Electronics during Local Competition and second for Electronic Product Servicing during Regional Competition. He also is a Varsity Football Letterman at Warren High School. After graduation, Roach plans to attend college to earn a degree in Electronics Engineering.
