Keely Diamond: May 2010


imageThe Washington County Career Center honors its May Students of the Month, Keely Diamond and Tyler Binegar.

Keely Diamond is a Waterford senior enrolled in the Natural Resources & Heavy Equipment program, and she is the daughter of Mike and Chris Diamond of Waterford.

Diamond is a member of the Career Center FFA youth organization where she holds the office of Chapter President. Diamond also is the Class Secretary of her program and held the offices of Chapter Sentinel and Class Vice President her junior year. She has received awards for the All A’s Principal List, All A’s and B’s Honor Roll, and Outstanding Natural Resources & Heavy Equipment Student. Additionally, Diamond competed in the FFA County Soil Judging and placed fourth with the Urban Team and was in the top ten for the Individual Urban competition. She also competed in the District Soil Judging and placed 43rd against all counties in Southeastern Ohio. Diamond has been active at Waterford High School in track, cross country, and basketball.

Upon graduation, Diamond plans to attend Hocking Technical College to obtain an Associate’s Degree in Forest Management.

 

Tyler Binegar: May 2010


imageTyler Binegar is a Frontier senior enrolled in the Industrial Mechanics program, and he is the son of Jeff and Vickie Binegar of Newport.

At the Career Center, Binegar is a member of the SkillsUSA youth organization. He has received awards for the All A’s & B’s Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance. Binegar is a member of the National Honor Society at Frontier High School and participated in both FFA and the Key Club during his freshman and sophomore years. Additionally, he is active in several sports at Frontier – varsity baseball, basketball and football.

Binegar plans to attend Ohio Valley University to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism.
