Student of the Month

Stephanie Kelley: March 2010


imageThe Washington County Career Center honors its March Students of the Month, Stephanie Kelley and Zach Greer.

Stephanie Kelley is a Waterford senior enrolled in the Office Management program, and she is the daughter of Charles and Diana Kelley of Waterford.

At the Career Center, Kelley is a member of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) youth organization and serves as the Chapter Parliamentarian. Additionally, she is the Office Management Class Secretary and is a member of Student Council. Kelley has received awards for the All A’s Principal List, All A’s & B’s Honor Roll, and Outstanding Office Management Student. During her junior year, she received a Superior Rating in the Tech Prep Showcase at Washington State Community College for her project “Going Green in the Office”. Kelley received first place at the BPA Regional Competition in Database Applications and will be competing at the State level this spring.

Upon graduation, Kelley plans to attend West Liberty University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.

 

Zach Greer: March 2010


imageZach Greer is a Waterford senior enrolled in the Welding program, and he is the son of Jeff and Donna Greer of Waterford.

Greer is a member of the Career Center SkillsUSA youth organization and is a Student Ambassador. He has received awards for the All A’s Principal List, Outstanding Attendance, Outstanding Welding Student, Outstanding Math Student, and received a Certificate of Achievement in Geometry. Additionally, Greer was selected to represent the Career Center at Rotary this past November.

Greer currently works as a laborer at a local farm. Upon graduation, he plans to enter into the welding workforce and hopes to become a member of either the Plumbers and Pipefitters or the Boilermakers union.
